Taking pictures is a hobby of mine. I love photographing nature specifically sunsets. In every photo of mine there is a place to escape as I don’t like to look at a photo and feel that there boundaries or constraints. There must be unbridled freedom, somewhere where if one stepped into the picture you could go to get out of that scene and move out into the unknown! I only deviate from this when I am taking functional pictures, like photographing my instruments for the backgrounds for this site.
I waited for the path to clear before taking this photo. I think that the trees either side look royal, it feels like one is walking in palace gardens there, very lovely.
When I took this photo I was lost in Southampton Common. I thought seeing as I was lost I would take pictures of the area, it was very nice there.
This was taken with a wide angle lens in Sewardstone one day on an early morning journey.
I saw this bush in the courtyard one day and thought that it was really pretty the way the snow stacked on the brances!
This was taken 2013 when it snowed in Portswood, it’s amazing the beauty that is around us but we just don’t notice sometimes.
Very tiny instrument, very loud sound!
I thought I would have a look and see what this looked like in black and white!
I think the dark colour of the wood contrasted with the silver of the keys is really pretty and I felt that using a black and white filter was a good way to emphasize this.
It looks like I am at the beggining of a journey going somewhere cool
I have a lovely filter on my phone which removes all the colours except a select few (in this case the yellow-red colours). In Aperture I later increased the saturation of yellow. It was very lovely to have some leaves on the ground as well, I just feel that it brightens up the photo nicely.
Phone earphones on the back of a bible. I fiddled with the exposure and changed the scene on my camera to Flourescent to get this picture.
I love the orange and pink hues in this photo!
“The Hope Tree”. I looked at this picture and I just thought to myself that it seemed to be filled with so much hope.
I thought that I would collage some photos I got at a conference.
I got this as a Christmas present from one of my flatmates when I was in student halls!
Go Karting in Sri Lanka!
I took this picture one sunny day and decided to edit it and upload it! Enjoy!
I was in Emily Davis or Deanery halls at the top and was taking pictures of the Sunset on my phone as the Sun eventually went down.
This was taken just at the moment just before the sun set. Beautiful!
I saw the reflections of the stream on the wood and saw all those lovely textures and colours of the aged wood and just could not resist taking a photo!
I saw these birds on a walk and loved them!
I kept on seeing these birds when I went for a walk with friends!
This was my first panorama!
I went through a phase where I liked the look of backlit tree branches.
I just love the way the sun sets over the coast!
I took this one day during my Masters after a tutorial. It’s what the sky looked like one evening over the Highfield Campus, it was so beautiful!
This was an unusually beautiful sunrise!
I took this walking down a picturesque path on the grounds of St Mary’s Chapel, in an area called Chapel (probably because of the Chapel) in Southampton, near the football stadium. Have you ever just stopped to look up and see the beauty all around you?
Have you ever just stopped and looked up and thanked Jesus for the beauty all around you?
Have you ever just stopped and looked up and thanked Jesus for all the beauty all around you?
Have you ever stopped and looked up and just thanked Jesus for all of the beauty around you?
My first and last ever piece of rosin
This side is for your shoulder, the opposite side is for your cheek.
This was my first instrument I ever learned and played! Sold it on ebay last year lol
