#SPECIALEDITION: 1 of 2 #Easter #Spring #GoodFriday #JesusChrist #Christian

Hey guys!,

It’s Good Friday! This is the day when we Christians celebrate the crucifixion of Jesus Christ.

It’s called “Good” because through the death of Jesus Christ we were able to atoned to God. To be atoned to God means that you are reconciled with God, in a similar way to if a person does something wrong, then they apologise, have some kind of restorative conversation and the relationship is mended.

You see the consequence of sin is death, in the same fashion that the consequence of committing a crime is jail. The type of death I am talking about is eternal separation from God. Which is hell. Literally. God decided that He loved us so much that instead of us having to die for our sin’s He would have Jesus take our place and die on our behalf.

Everyone will eventually die in a physical way because our bodies are finite but our spirits are eternal, meaning that they live on after our bodies. There is life after death and where you go, whether that be heaven or hell depends on your relationship with Jesus Christ. It says in the Bible that the only way to God is through Jesus. Christians believe that God is in heaven and you cannot go there except by accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and saviour, accepting that He died for your sins and accepting that you cannot do life by yourself and that you need Him to help you.

I hope everyone has a good Good Friday and I’ll post something else on Easter Sunday!
